Follow here the news about the pilot that MEMEX is running in Paris

With a specific methodology created by ITI, social partners ran user experience test on the MVP2 version of the app with community participants and stakeholders. The objective was to gather feedback to improve the app’s features for a better inclusive tool. More than 30 people tested the app in Paris, Lisbon and Barcelona.

In the 3 cities of the MEMEX pilot activities, a capacity-building event has been organized. This event aims at presenting the first results of the project to professionals of the socio-cultural sector and to local policymakers. The two first events took place on December 6th in Lisbon. The Paris event took place on January 24th, 2022.

The Paris team took part in the sustainable development festival of the Rosa Parks neighbourhood called "la fête à DD" on Saturday 25 September.  It has been a noteworthy opportunity for the locals to learn more about the MEMEX project but also to sign up for our digital storytelling workshops that will be held in October.

After participating in a series of workshops aimed at reflecting on cultural heritage and creative writing, the participants of the Paris pilot strolled around the XIXth district to collect materials for their stories. The esplanade of Rosa Parks, the station, the park are some of the sites chosen to interweave their personal stories with Paris, proposing a cartography of memories that allows their heritage to be lived in another way, with another look. During the month of March, a workshop was dedicated to the recording of the stories, with the aim of making them feature in the MEMEX app.

The stories of four participants were recorded and then, they were able to incorporate them into the MEMEX app during a workshop dedicated to exploring and testing the app

During the month of February, a workshop was organized to conclude the stories of the participants. 

This workshop gave also the opportunity to select photos and titles for each story.

Share online your life story, your memories, or the fun stories about your neighbourhood. This workshop will be the opportunity to look on urban, cultural, personal and heritage issues.

On Saturday, October 10, the team behind Dédale and Michael Culture invite you to join the urban walks organised through the Rosa Parks neighbourhood. To enroll, contact Inès during the snack break or at her service hours. 

Inès from Dédale association has come many times to meet the residents – at the sites of La Régie du quartier, of the Centre Rosa Parks and of the association CapaCités – to present them MEMEX and to invite them to join the workshops organized within the project.
