User experience testing!
With a specific methodology created by ITI, social partners ran user experience test on the MVP2 version of the app with community participants and stakeholders. The objective was to gather feedback to improve the app’s features for a better inclusive tool. More than 30 people tested the app in Paris, Lisbon and Barcelona.

Capacity building event

October to December 2021

In the 3 cities of the MEMEX pilot activities, a capacity-building event will be organized. This event will aim at presenting the first results of the project to the professionals of the socio-cultural sector and to local policymakers. The two first events took place on December 6th in Lisbon. The event counted 37 participants including project partners!

Editing digital stories 2.0

October to December 2021

Throughout these three months, the portuguese pilot participants will work hand in hand with Mpa das Ideias' staff to produce new storytelling for the app. They will capture images and sounds, and edit their narratives to produce videos with unique stories.

Recording stories in the MEMEX APP

april 2021

The stories produced by participants are introduced in the MEMEX APP starting on April 15.

In this first use of the APP, the pilot participants also give an invaluable support to the project, testing the various functionalities of the application and suggesting improvements.

March and April 2021

Throughout these two months, the pilot participants work with Mapa das Ideias' staff in capturing images and sound and editing their narratives, producing videos with unique stories.

Conversations and stories at a distance

15 February to 15 April 2021

Between February and April, heritage and digital storytelling workshops are deployed with two groups of participants.

The six sessions held with each group occur entirely in digital format, and are complemented with individual activities, so that the physical confinement does not prevent the healthy relation between people and the cultural landscape.

First public session of the MEMEX Lisbon pilot

ALCC joins Mapa in presenting the MEMEX project to the migrant community.
Mapa das Ideias, in partnership with Associação Lusofonia Cultura e Cidadania, organized a public session on November 30, presenting the MEMEX project to the migrant community in the Metropolitan Area of Lisbon.


Memex project started in 2019 and will run until 2022.
